causeless giving and the apple tree

the joy of doing something for no reason!  causeless creativity is a gift and a celebration.

so often in our lives we only act or create in order to get something in return.  even charity!  sometimes we do service just to show to others what a honerable person we are.  we do it for the recognition.  there is a contract involved.  if i do this i’ll get that.  perhaps our jobs or relationships are like this?

selfless creation takes us beyond the “me” and leads us right into the heart of the other or the action itself.  we lose ourself.   we all know this so well when we fall in love.  we are filled with the other and our only desire is to give or to fulfill.  perhaps this is the only one true desire, giving?

if there is no little self.  no one inside then what else is there?  nature gives.  and we are not separate from nature.  we are nature.  so, much like the apple tree who spends her whole life in creation only to bear fruit and give we, too, are creatures of creativity and giving.

get lost in selfless creativity.  its teaching will open up a new dimension in you.  it will transform your very idea of who you are.  create without expecting anything in return and just see what happens.  however you feel like you best connect start expressing through that medium.  perhaps its writing, or photography, or cooking but bring a new angle to the activity.  causeless creativity.

don’t cook with the old mental set up, “oh i guess i have to make dinner now.  what a chore.”  or “i have to do my duty and cook for my husband.”  No!  just get creative.  enjoy picking out your recipe.  really take a moment and choose your ingredients.  have fun preparing and cook with the spirit that you are overjoyed with giving your time, your energy, your creativity.  lose yourself in the process.

give like the apple tree gives fruit.  when someone comes along the apple tree never refuses.  it only knows to welcome.

welcome all that is around you with causeless creativity.  you will be surprised at what happens.
